Vacation is over again, almost. It’s Saturday night right now and I’m running the nightshift for WOL 14 right now. I’m a tad tired, but I’ll be over it by the time it’s 7 AM. Everybody has this point in the night after which the tired feeling just stops, and all is well then (and then you crash at around 6 PM :p). WOL 14 is a very good edition. We are totally loaded with people, we even had to think of an extra space (under the stairs). But everybody is having fun and the trivia compo we make every edition was a big success. Team ‘t Gooi is running their Mario Smash Brothers compo on the Wii, which is very fun. I also took my new Harman Kardon AVR4550 to the LAN, and a view friends of mine were laughing at it’s ‘mere’ 50 watts a channel. But I silenced them with the DTS tracks of The Eagles – Hell Freezes Over. So now I just have to start saving for my own 5.1 set..
Furthermore I disassembled my MBP (since I assumed it was out of guarantee now anyway..) and I bend it back again with a towel and hammer. Much better now. Also, you have to check out this cool game, it’s quite popular here @ the LAN, it’s called World of Goo. The best description which someone here gave is: Lemmings Meet Pontifex. It’s really cool, do check it out!
Well, so far for this post I guess, I really didn’t make a lot of pictures this LAN, so I don’t know if I’m gonna upload them to the albums yet..

This is a story that I find hilarious everytime I read:
A man received a parrot for his birthday. This parrot was fully-grown with a bad attitude and worse vocabulary. Every other word was an expletive. Those that weren’t expletives were, to say the least, extremely rude.
The man tried hard to change the bird’s attitude and was constantly saying polite words, playing soft music, anything that came to mind.
Nothing worked. He yelled at the bird, the bird got worse. He went to a voodoo spell caster to cast a love spell on it, with no luck.
He shook the bird and the bird got more angry and exceedingly rude.
Finally, in a moment of desperation, he put the parrot in the freezer.
For a few moments he heard the bird squawking, kicking and screaming and then, suddenly, all was quiet.
The man was frightened that he might have actually hurt the bird and quickly opened the freezer door. The parrot calmly stepped out onto the man’s extended arm and said: “I’m sorry that I offended you with my language and actions. I ask for your forgiveness. I will try to improve my behavior.”
The man was astounded at the bird’s change in attitude and was about to ask what changed him when the parrot continued, “…May I ask what the chicken did?”
